Lower Merion & Narberth PATV Mission Statement

The mission of Lower Merion & Narberth Public Access Television (PATV) is to support and develop community television that will enrich the quality of life enjoyed in Lower Merion & Narberth and in particular to foster a sense of shared community among its different neighborhoods and residents.

To implement the Mission Statement, PATV will:

a) Operate the Public Access channel, viewed locally on Comcast 99 XFINITY and Verizon 34 FIOS, for the use of Lower Merion and Narberth residents as well as non-profits actively serving this community.

b) Foster participation from Lower Merion and Narberth residents as well as non-profits, in the production of quality programming that reflects the interests of the Township and Borough communities and that provides valuable and locally- relevant information.

c) Promote collaboration and support for community television among the various levels of government and public and private institutions that will generate on-going commitment to providing the resources necessary for quality community television.

e) Represent the interests and rights of the Lower Merion and Narberth communities for the continued activation and use of the Public Access channel under the federal Communications Act and the local Franchise Agreements.
